Infanterieregiments und dirigierte die Militärband The Hellfighters Band – Neujahr 1918 kamen sie in Frankreich an, „als erste afroamerikanische Kampfeinheit“. James Reese Europe lebte von 1881 bis 1919 - Umgekehrt kann auch behauptet werden: Claude Debussy gilt als einer der wichtigen Vorbereiter der modernen Musik, erstmals begegnen sich Klassik und Jazz in Debussys  „Golliwogg’s Cakewalk“ - da war der Jazz-Begriff noch niemandem in Europa untergekommen. ]]></description>
