Das Joanna Duda Trio ist – um die Worte von Tomek Gregorczyk (Jazz Forum) zu paraphrasieren – Jazz, Präparate, Groove, Ambient, Minimal, ein bisschen Barock, ein bisschen Romantik, ein bisschen Humor, natürliche Klänge, synthetische Klänge in einer soliden und überraschenden Form eingefangen. Joanna Duda schlägt „Musik“ anstelle von „Pianismus“ vor, und der Klang des FUMITSUKE-Albums ist ein integrales Ganzes, das von der Idee des Klangs als einer gemeinsam erzeugten Qualität geleitet wird. Virtuosität wird hier als Element eines musikalischen Gerichts verstanden, das dazu dient, die Vielstimmigkeit der Aromen zu verbinden, und die Elektronik hat einen organischen und osmotischen Charakter. Die aktuelle Besetzung: Maksymilian Mucha – Kontrabass/Fx, Michal Bryndal – Schlagzeug – ist seit Ende 2018 geklärt. FUMITSUKE hatte seine Premiere auf dem London Jazz Festival im November 2021. Die Tournee zur Promotion des Albums fand 2022 unter anderem im Ronnie Scott’s/ London, Jazz Cerkno Festival, NOSPR/Katowice, Opus Jazz Club/ Budapeszt, Le Periscope/ Lyon statt. Das Joanna Duda Trio trat auch auf dem Vancouver International Jazz Festival und dem Edmonton Jazz Festival (2019) auf.

Joanna Duda Trio is – to paraphrase Tomek Gregorczyk’s words (Jazz Forum) – jazz, preparations, groove, ambient, minimal, a bit of baroque, a bit of romanticism, a bit of humour, natural sounds, synthetic sounds captured in a solid and surprising form. Joanna Duda proposes „music“ instead of „pianism“ and the sound of the FUMITSUKE album is an integral whole, guided by the idea of sound as a jointly generated quality. Virtuosity is given here as an element of a musical dish that serves to bind the polyphony of flavours together, and electronics have an organic and osmotic character. The current line-up: Maksymilian Mucha – double bass/fx, Michal Bryndal – drums – was clarified at the end of 2018. FUMITSUKE got its premiere on the London Jazz Festival in November 2021. The tour promoting the album took place in 2022 in such places as Ronnie Scott’s/ London, Jazz Cerkno Festival, NOSPR/Katowice, Opus Jazz Club/ Budapeszt, Le Periscope/ Lyon. Joanna Duda Trio performed also on Vancouver International Jazz Festival and Edmonton Jazz Festival (2019).
