Ein eindrucksvolles und meditatives Album, das in seiner Elegie große Hoffnung transportiert, obwohl oder gerade weil jahrelang Bürgerkrieg in Syrien herrscht und Angst und Schrecken – das Album ist den vielen gewidmet, über die sich Leid und Elend ergoss, den vielen Geschädigten und Verletzten an Herz und Seele. Die Grausamkeit, die Menschen Menschen antun, ist geradezu unermesslich, erstrecht, da bei denen, die weiter und weiter morden, richten und töten lassen, nur Kalkül, strategisches Interesse oder Selbstbezug vorzuherrschen scheinen, während sie ein Herz nach dem anderen auslöschen – dagegen die Musik ihre Stimme erhebt. Und sich in ein spürbares Denkmal verwandelt: wie mit dieser Aufnahme geschehen – auf technisch, melodisch, rhythmisch und kompositorisch höchstem Niveau.

An impressive and meditative album that conveys great hope in its elegy, despite or precisely because of the years of civil war in Syria and the fear and horror – the album is dedicated to the many who have been showered with suffering and misery, to the many who have been harmed and injured in heart and soul. The cruelty that people inflict on people is almost immeasurable, especially since those who continue to murder, judge and kill seem to be driven only by calculation, strategic interest or self-interest, while they extinguish one heart after another – but the music raises its voice against this. And transforms itself into a tangible monument: as happened with this recording – at the highest technical, melodic, rhythmic and compositional level.
