Die spanische Pianistin und Komponistin Marta Sánchez lebt seit 2011 in New York und hat sich zu einer der zentralen Figuren in der dortigen Jazzszene entwickelt. Seit einer Weile ist sie Mitglied des Quartetts von Saxofonist David Murray und im Vorjahr stellte sie mit ihrem bisher besten Album „Perpetual Void“ ihr eigenes Trio vor.
