Nils Wogram counts as one of the most important jazz musicians in europe. He appears on many important festivals and tours worldwide with his own bands and as a featured soloist. He is mainly known for his highly virtuous trombone playing, his very original compositions and as a band leader of long-term working bands with a unique ensemble sound. In 2010 he started his own record label nwog-records on which he releases his albums. Nils Wogram`s bands play exclusively his own music and other ensembles commission pieces by him.

Nomen est Omen. Das neue Album von Nils Wograms Album trägt den Titel „The Walk“. Und genau so beginnt die Musik. Posaunist Nils Wogram, Organist Arno Krijger und Drummer Dejan Terzić marschieren gemeinsam los. Sie werden zu Reiseleitern, denn mit ihrem packenden Groove nehmen sie ihre Hörer*innen einfach mit. Kein Subtext, kein doppelter Boden. Los geht’s. Doch schon beim zweiten Titel „Love“ zeigt sich, dass diese Wanderung nicht so gradlinig und zielfokussiert verlaufen wird, wie der Opener suggeriert haben mag. Jeder dieser Tracks beschreibt eine Station auf dem Weg, die einerseits von allen anderen Stationen unabhängig ist und doch auf der Gesamtstrecke einen Sinn im großen Ganzen ergibt.
