Der Name „die Railers“ steht für das Lebensgefühl, das aufkommt, wenn man mit dem Zug verreist, Landschaften vorbeirauschen und die Mühlen des Alltags allmählich ihre Kraft verlieren. Kaum eine Musik verkörpert dieses Gefühl mehr, als die der Südstaaten Amerikas des letzten Jahrhunderts. So zählen der Jazz aus New Orleans, Oldtime, mehrstimmiger Gesang und Folkmusik zu wichtigen Einflüssen der Band.
Die Railers
The name “the Railers” stands for the feeling of life that arises when you travel by train, landscapes rush by and the mills of everyday life gradually lose their power. Hardly any music embodies this feeling more than that of the southern states of America in the last century. Jazz from New Orleans, old-time, polyphonic singing and folk music are among the band’s most important influences.
