La Bomba is the low-end driven ensemble of Italian bassist, composer, and producer Luca Curcio, based between Berlin and Copenhagen. Built on raw improvisation and rewired through sampling aesthetics, the band creates a sound world where acoustic interplay collides with electronic production: grooves shift and reform, horn lines twist and dissolve, and micro-rhythms drive the pulse. Their debut album will be released on Boomslang Records on October 17, 2025.
For this Berlin Edition, La Bomba appears in a barebones formation: Curcio on bass/sampler, Simon Albertsen (drums) from the original Copenhagen lineup, and special guest Otis Sandsjö (tenor saxophone). Stripped to its core, La Bomba reimagines its sound in real time — urgent, unpredictable, alive.
