Returning to his hometown, Matthias Meyer put together a trio with some of his favorite musicians of the Berlin jazz scene to play a mix of his own compositions and songs from the great american songbook in an intimate setting.

Meyer is an award winning (JIB-Jazz-Prize, Young Munich Jazz Prize) drummer and composer. Originally based in Berlin, he moved to New York in 2023 to pursue his master’s degree at the City College of New York. The debut album of his main project „Niemandsland““ was released in January 2025 on double moon records as part of the Jazzthing-Next Generation series.
