David Helm & Wanja Slavin recently had the great fortune to co-create Marek Johnson’s second album in an incredibly beautiful, inspiring and touching collaboration. Meeting periodically over the last two years at Wanja’s quaint woodland studio, they flowed together in every session, writing and recording simultaneously.
Beautiful songs emerged; some of which have already been released as singles on Papercup Records. The full album ‚Mumbling On The Floor’ will follow in April.
The new songs will be performed live for the first time at Donau 115.

Stattdessen bahnt er sich mit einer gelungenen Mischung aus profunder Musikalität und gesundem Selbstbewusstsein, aus Eigensinn und verlässlicher Intuition seinen eigenen Weg.“ Das stellte die Münchner TZ 2007 nach einem Konzert des damals gerade 20jährigen fest. „Zwischen Genie und Wahnsinn“ (SZ) changiere seine Musik und er sei die „Hoffnung“ oder gar die „Zukunft des deutschen Jazz“.
