Das Cuareim Quartet wird beim B-Flat-Konzert die erste Single und das erste Video einer Reihe vorstellen, die im Februar mit der Präsentation des neuen Albums „A jazz Story“ enden wird. In diesem neuen Projekt wird das Quartett einen Blick auf die Geschichte des Jazz aus der Sicht eines Streichquartetts werfen. Es lässt die Geschichte des Jazz durch seinen eigenen poetischen und anthropologischen Blick Revue passieren. Diese vier einzigartigen Musiker komponieren ein Repertoire von Originalkompositionen, bei denen jeder Titel ein Kapitel der wichtigsten Strömungen dieser Musik darstellt. Von den „Jazz-Beerdigungen“ in New Orleans bis zu den großen Orchestrierungen von Broadway-Melodien, von den farbenfrohen Manieren des „Cool Jazz“ der 50er Jahre bis zur energiegeladenen und rachsüchtigen Energie des Free Jazz, die Reise durch die Geschichte wechselt zwischen ausgefeilten Kompositionen und gefühlvollen Improvisationen, alles im Dienste des Ausdrucks dieser vier Musiker mit starken künstlerischen Persönlichkeiten. Cuareim Quartet will present at the B-Flat concert the first single and video of a series that will end in February with the presentation of the new album „A jazz Story“. In this new project, the quartet will take a look at the history of jazz through the eyes of a string quartet. It reviews the history of jazz through its own poetic and anthropological gaze. These four unique musicians compose a repertoire of original compositions, where each track represents a chapter of the main currents of this music. From the „jazz funerals“ in New Orleans to the great orchestrations of Broadway tunes, from the colorful manners of the „cool jazz“ of the 50s to the energetic and vengeful energy of free jazz, the journey through history alternates between polished compositions and soulful improvisations, all in the service of the expression of these four musicians with strong artistic personalities.
