Fabiana Striffler (1988*) ist eine improvisierende Geigerin und Komponistin, die sich zwischen Jazz und Avant-Folk bewegt. Striffler’s Debütalbum Mahagoni (2017) wurde vom Deutschlandfunk als Bestes Album des Jahres für den VIA Award nominiert. 2018 folgte ihr Album Sweet and so Solitary, welches von der Zeitschrift Zitty als „Revolution im Jazz“ gewertet wurde. Zu ihrem Album Archiotíc (2021) meinte der Deutschlandfunk: Konsequenter denn je überquert sie Stilgrenzen, lässt auf selten gehörte Art Virtuosität und Humor in Komposition und Ausführung umeinander tänzeln. 2023 erschien ihr beim Pariser Label Wopela erschienenes Album: La Plume du Dimanche.

Fabiana Striffler (1988*) is an improvising violinist and composer who moves between jazz and avant-folk. Striffler’s debut album Mahagoni (2017) was nominated for the VIA Award as Best Album of the Year by Deutschlandfunk. This was followed in 2018 by her album Sweet and so Solitary, which was described by Zitty magazine as a “revolution in jazz”. Deutschlandfunk commented on her album Archiotíc (2021): „More consistently than ever, she crosses stylistic boundaries, allowing virtuosity and humor to dance around each other in composition and performance in a rarely heard way. 2023 saw the release of her album La Plume du Dimanche on the Parisian label Wopela.
