Taiko Saito, geboren 1976 in Sapporo – begann im Alter von sechs Jahren Marimba zu spielen – später kamen Klavier und Schlagzeug hinzu. Sie studierte bei der Marimbaphon-Virtuosin Keiko Abe an der Tōhō-Musikhochschule in Tokio und war deren erste Diplom-Solistin auf dem Instrument (de.wikipedia.org). Taiko Saito, born in Sapporo in 1976, began playing the marimba at the age of six and later added piano and percussion. She studied with marimba virtuoso Keiko Abe at the Tōhō Music Academy in Tokyo and was their first graduate soloist on the instrument (de.wikipedia.org).
