Alben des Monats: Conor Cantrell  A Place Between Homes ​.​.​. – The Smile Cutouts

Du kannst und konntest es nicht mehr mit anhören oder ansehen, über Wochen ereilten dich die Umfragewerte morgens mittags abends, niemand beherrschte die Medienlandschaft mehr als diese Figur unter seinem goldenen Haupthaar, es wirkte wie in einem der Persiflagen aus dem letzten Jahrhundert, verfilmt wie in Brazil oder Pulp Fiction oder Batman Terminator in Las Vegas, golden glänzt das Geschirr, während sich die Demokraten die Zähne ausbeißen ob der Obszönitäten und Freisprechanlagen unter den Gürtellinien, die Sprache des armen Mannes – da bekommst du von den eigenen Leuten Hausverbot, während es in den Zeitungen nur so trieft und strotzt vor Sprache des armen Mannes – Dummheit ist insofern der falsche Ausdruck dafür, als die Intelligenz sie sich zunutze macht in ihren Türmen der Hochfinanz und des Silicon Valley. Dass die IT oder KI oder AI dem Menschen zugute kommen sollte, steht auf dem Blatt derjenigen, die über den Code verfügen und ihn ausbreiten, in die Tiefen, die Breiten, die Höhen der Userplatformen – KI IT oder AI sollten dem Chaos Struktur verleihen, stattdessen wuchs das Chaos, nun stellen sich messianische Figuren vor, die von Genie reden, von Getriebensein und von Visionen beseelt und endlich endlich, Amerika hat seine Freiheit zurück, rufen die, die noch nie so frei waren wie zuletzt. Jetzt gilt es, die Freiheiten zu vergrößern, alle werden reich und alle kommen in den Himmel, und wer will, fliegt auf den Mars. Nun wollen wir mal sehen, wie der Frieden zurückkommt auf die Erde und was wem gehört nach dem und wie viel von dem neu verteilt wird und ob der arme Mann mit der Sprache der Tollwut bald reich wird vom Segen derjenigen, die glauben, das alles braucht keinen Staat, keine Gesetze, jeder gegen jeden heißt das Spiel. Viel Spaß damit – Und was macht der Jazz ? Der hält sich raus. Er spielt einfach weiter von Sause zu Sause. Höher schneller weiter. Wir trafen uns zum Jazzfest und sprachen über unsere lateinische Grundausbildung. Wir hatten inzwischen Vorurteile gegen die allzu Verkopften, gegen die, die mit dem Humanismus liebäugelten, da es sich nicht lohnt, Bildungsbürger zu sein mit Sternchen, der Mittelstand war, und bald ebenfalls arm oder reich sein wird, je nach Geschicklichkeit und Lage der Finanzen, höher schneller weiter, jetzt werden wir alle reich, schon beim nächsten Weihnachtsfest. Übrigens: Auch Musizierende werden reich, sehr reich. Durch ihre Musik. Mit einem Leuchten im Gesicht zur Vorweihnachtszeit mit Lebkuchen, Spekulatius und frischen Noten. Mehr braucht es nicht zum Fanfarenstoß der Trompeten zum Pustekuchen.

Now it’s time to increase freedom, everyone will be rich and everyone will go to heaven, and those who want to will fly to Mars. Now let’s see how peace returns to earth and what belongs to whom after that and how much of it is redistributed and whether the poor man with the language of rabies will soon get rich from the blessing of those who believe that all this needs no state, no laws, everyone against everyone is the name of the game. Have fun with it – And what does Jazz do? He stays out of it. He just keeps on playing from buzz to buzz. Higher faster further. We met at the jazz festival and talked about our basic Latin education. In the meantime, we had prejudices against the overly intellectual, against those who flirted with humanism, because it wasn’t worth being an educated citizen with an asterisk, who was middle class and would soon also be poor or rich, depending on their skill and financial situation, higher faster further, now we’re all getting rich, as early as next Christmas. By the way: musicians also get rich, very rich. Through their music. With a glow on their faces in the run-up to Christmas with gingerbread, speculoos and fresh sheet music. That’s all it takes for the fanfare of trumpets to blow.
