Du findest sie auf Instagram, auf Facebook, auf Spotify und bekommst sie zufällig in deine Timeline gespült und suchst. Die Namen gibt es, das Cover, eine Website in Finnland, das war es schon – für finnische Verhältnisse überraschend kaum dargestelltes Marketing. Oder ist das neues Marketing und ich hab etwas verpasst? Immerhin ist die Aufnahme bei mir eingetroffen. Einmal gehört, ein zweites Mal gehört und … ja, sie hat was. Ist interessant, gerne mehr davon.

Mir bleibt die Feststellung: das ist exzellenter Chamberjazz aus Finnland, ein beachtliches Debut – das kann sich rumsprechen, aber vielleicht wollen sie noch nicht, dass man über sie spricht – Potential haben sie, man wird sich die Namen vormerken dürfen.

Jesse Vilhomaa spielt das Saxophon und ist bei Instagram zu finden. Über Tuomas Talvi findest du sie bei Soundcloud. Der Schlagzeuger Arttu Huopainen setzt ein paar Youtube-Tapes frei

You find them on Instagram, on Facebook, on Spotify and get them randomly flushed into your timeline and search. The names are there, the cover, a website in Finland, that’s it – surprisingly little presented marketing by Finnish standards. Or is this new marketing and I missed something? At least the recording arrived at my place. Heard it once, heard it a second time and … yes, it has something. It’s interesting, I’d like more of it.

I’m left with the statement: this is excellent chamber jazz from Finland, a remarkable debut – word can get around, but maybe they don’t want people to talk about them yet – they have potential, you’ll be able to make a note of the names.
