NOÉ TAVELLI & THE ARGONAUTS ist ein Quintett, das einige der vielversprechendsten jungen europäischen Jazzmusiker zusammenbringt. Ihre Musik, die sie gemeinsam gestalten und schreiben, ist vom Einfluss und der Dynamik der New Yorker Jazzszene geprägt, da alle fünf Bandmitglieder viel Zeit im Big Apple verbracht haben. Die Band bietet eine intelligente und ambitionierte Mischung aus traditionellem und modernem Jazz, die sowohl komplexe Formen als auch Freiheit vereint.
Im Mai 2019 veröffentlichte die Band ihr Debütalbum NOÉ TAVELLI & THE ARGONAUTS COLLECTIVE auf dem deutschen Label Double Moon Records / Jazzthing als Teil der Next Generation Series (Vol. 78). Das Album wurde mit dem Revelation Award des Französischen Jazz Magazins ausgezeichnet und vom schweizer Musikjournalisten Fredi Hallauer als „sicherlich das Beste, was der Jazz derzeit zu bieten hat“ bezeichnet.

NOÉ TAVELLI & THE ARGONAUTS is a quintet that brings together some of the most promising young European jazz musicians. Their music, which is collectively shaped and written is fed by the influence and danmism of the New York Jazz Sezene als all five Band’s Mmembers have spent substantial amount of time in the Big Apple. The band offers an smart and ambitious blend of traditional and modern jazz combining both complex form and freedom.
In May 2019, the band released their debut album NOÉ TAVELLI & THE ARGONAUTS COLLECTIVE on the German label Double Moon Records / Jazzthing as part of the Next Generation Series (Vol. 78). The album received the Revelation Award from Jazz Magazine (France) and was reviewed by the Swiss music journalist Fredi Hallauer as „surely some of the best in jazz at the moment“.
