muralim ist wie Barfuss im Sand, wie ein Sprung ins kalte Wasser im Sommer, wie der erste Kaffee am Morgen. muralim ist Musik für Herz und Bauch und steht für die Momente, in denen man alles vergisst und nur das Hier und Jetzt zählt.

Die Band hat sich während ihres Studiums an der Zürcher Hochschule der Künste kennengelernt und wurde bereits kurz darauf in die “Best of Swiss Jazz Bachelors”-Reihe berufen. Die Musik stammt aus der Feder des Saxophonisten Mauro Reimann und wird beim gemeinsamen Jammen durch die Einflüsse aller Bandmitglieder weiterentwickelt. Dabei entsteht Musik, der man sich kaum entziehen kann. Die Melodien sind eingängig und gleichzeitig raffiniert, die Grooves laden zum Mitwippen ein und die unbändige Spielfreude der Band lässt die Luft über der Bühne knistern.

muralim is like barefoot in the sand, like jumping into cold water in summer, like the first coffee in the morning. muralim is music for the heart and stomach and stands for those moments when you forget everything and only the here and now counts.

The band got to know each other during their studies at the Zurich University of the Arts and were selected for the “Best of Swiss Jazz Bachelors” series shortly afterwards. The music was penned by saxophonist Mauro Reimann and is further developed by the influences of all the band members as they jam together. The result is music that is hard to resist. The melodies are catchy and sophisticated at the same time, the grooves invite you to tap along and the band’s unbridled joy of playing makes the air above the stage crackle.
